Ministry of Health competition for protected categories
Introduction
In 2024, Recrytera was chosen as the technology partner to organise a public competition announced by the Ministry of Health. The competition aimed to recruit 11 non-managerial staff for roles in the assistant area, which is reserved exclusively for protected categories.
To ensure the procedure met the highest standards of transparency, fairness and inclusion, Recrytera supported all stages of the competition, paying particular attention to the needs of candidates with vulnerabilities or disabilities.

An innovative test
The selection tests have been designed to be administered in person at suitable locations that can accommodate candidates with different accessibility needs. This is particularly important in the healthcare sector, where it is essential that every candidate can take the test with as much support as possible, thereby reducing physical and cognitive barriers.
For this reason:
- each venue has been equipped with trained staff to assist candidates with dyslexia, cognitive difficulties, motor limitations, or other vulnerabilities.
- IT tools and special aids have been made available, which can be customised according to individual needs.
- dedicated ambulances and refreshment and recovery areas have also been set up for those who need breaks or specific assistance during the test.
While maintaining rigour and assessment standards, the test itself has been structured to ensure fairness, with adaptable times and methods of administration to suit the different needs of each participant.
A collective commitment
The success of this procedure hinges not only on technology, but also on collaboration between healthcare institutions, examination boards, logistical support teams, and inclusion-dedicated operators.
Each examination centre was staffed by specialists not only in conducting the tests, but also in managing vulnerabilities. This ensured that each candidate could take the test in a calm and safe environment where their dignity was respected.
Thanks to this collaboration, we have been able to create an assessment environment that brings together accessibility, support and clinical expertise to promote a positive experience for candidates.
Technology, logistics, and people
The Recrytera platform supported the process with advanced digital tools for test management. However, the real added value came from the physical reception model at the venues, which included:
- support staff for physical or cognitive disabilities;
- personalised technological aids, such as magnifying screens, reading software and alternative input tools.
- logistical plans for internal mobility within the test venues;
- on-site refreshment and healthcare areas were also provided, including dedicated ambulances for emergency needs.
This combination of technology, logistics and personnel has enabled the fair and sustainable administration of the tests, while respecting the individual needs of each candidate.
A model for protected category competitions
The healthcare competition dedicated to protected categories is an advanced model of inclusion in public selection procedures.
The approach combines digital technology, equipped venues, and a network of specialized operators to demonstrate how rigorous assessment can be reconciled with total accessibility.
By entrusting the management of such a complex procedure to an innovative platform, the full participation of each candidate can be ensured, raising the standards of fairness, transparency, and quality of the overall experience. This paves the way for inclusive practices that can be replicated in other healthcare and public contexts.
